Is cow's milk good for us?

Is cow's milk really good for us? Do you think cow's milk is for human consumption?

Have you ever ponder about this question before?

Since young, we have been told about the goodness of dairy product, i.e. excellent sources of protein and calcium.

So I always thought that milk is the only good source for protein and calcium, that's why I consumed pregnancy milk powder during my first pregnancy.

However, when I realised that my second son has cow's milk protein allergy I started doing some research on this topic.

Now, let us start from: Is milk really a good source for calcium? 


Do you know that USA has a much high percentage of people getting osteoporosis as compared to Japan? Just simply look at the diet of normal North Americans, their diet is rich in dairy products such as milk, cheese, etc. But why are the North Americans still have a high percentage of osteoporosis patients despite their dairy rich diet?

Why most of the world does not eat dairy products and do not have bone problems and calcium deficiency?

There must be something terribly wrong with the message that milk (and milk products) will give us healthy bones.

Debunking The Milk Myth: Why Milk Is Bad For You And Your Bones

Milk depletes the calcium from your bones

The milk myth has spread around the world based on the flawed belief that this protein and calcium-rich drink is essential to support good overall health and bone health in particular at any age. It is easy to understand that the confusion about milk’s imaginary benefits stems from the fact that it contains calcium – around 300 mg per cup.

But many scientific studies have shown an assortment of detrimental health effects directly linked to milk consumption. And the most surprising link is that not only do we barely absorb the calcium in cow’s milk (especially if pasteurized), but to make matters worse, it actually increases calcium loss from the bones.

What an irony this is!

Here’s how it happens. Like all animal protein, milk acidifies the body pH which in turn triggers a biological correction. You see, calcium is an excellent acid neutralizer and the biggest storage of calcium in the body is – you guessed it… in the bones. So the very same calcium that our bones need to stay strong is utilized to neutralize the acidifying effect of milk. Once calcium is pulled out of the bones, it leaves the body via the urine, so that the surprising net result after this is an actual calcium deficit.

Knowing this, you’ll understand why statistics show that countries with the lowest consumption of dairy products also have the lowest fracture incidence in their population (there’s more on this later).
But the sad truth is that most mainstream health practitioners ignore these proven facts. I was brought up thinking drinking milk is good, until I came to know more from Nutritional Immunology.

Homemade Pizza and Vegecolor

Having 3 kids, we prefer to have our meals at home during the weekend. This weekend, my kids make their own pizza for lunch.

Ingredients
1) 2 onions
2) 1/2 red capsicum
3) mushroom
4) baby spinach
5) 2 tomatoes
6)1 chicken breast (stir fry)
7) Cheese (Optional)
8) Vegecolor (Optional)
9) Wholemeal wrap

How to make it
1) Diced the ingredients
2) Place all ingredients on the wrap
3) Place in the oven for 5 minutes to warm the food.
4) Ready to eat 


 Ingredients: Wholemeal wrap, baby spinach, mushroom, tomatoes, capsicum, onion, chicken breast, Cheese and Vegecolor
Place all ingredients on the wrap.

Cancer screening does little to save lives



The Essence of Nutritional Immunology is about Prevention is Better than Cure. Most people only pay attention to proper nutrition when we are sick. Few actually take precautionary measures that could have prevented the illness altogether.

The above message from the article is very clear that prevention is definitely better than cure. Usually by the time cancerous cells can be detected by machine, it will be too late. Diseases do not happen overnight, and 2/3 of the time the patient themselves and doctor does not know when cancer happen.

Who is the best doctor in the world?  Our immune system is able to use the natural killer cells to destroy cancer cells when cancer is undetected.

Here is one of the clip that I shared with my mommies group, and received many SMS feedbacks that now they totally understand what it really means by 'Prevention'. I am grateful that I am able to add value to other's people life again, this is further motivating me to do what I am doing. 

When cancer are being detected, in fact 2/3 of the times has be long passed. Instead of 1 multiply to 2, 2 to 4, and when it's spotted, it's multiplying from 1 million to 2 million, 2 million to 4 million...

Recipe for homemade veggie burger and recipe for homemade chicken burgers

We are trying to eat less meat and more veggies. My husband made Veggie burger for lunch on Mother's Day. The food was good and we have good friends over for lunch.

The burger hold together very well and have good flavor and very moist. I decided to write down the recipe before anything was forgotten.

Burger Patty Ingredients
4 boiled potatoes
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 red capsicum, finely chopped
1/2 green capsicum, finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
6 mushroom, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Some parsley
1 tablespoon ground cumin
salt and ground pepper to taste
35g of fresh bread crumbs
1 table spoon E Excel Blended Cooking Oil (Macadamia Oil)

E Excel VegeColor spread
3 Tablespoon plain yogurt, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise,  1 sachet of vegecolor. Mix all together.





Toppings
Some lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumber, slice cheese

To prepare burger patties

1) Mash potatoes in a large bowl, removing any large pieces of potato skin. Mix onion, red capsicum, green capsicum, carrot, mushroom, garlic, parsley and bread crumbs with a fork. Mashing it well.

2) Mix cumin, salt and ground pepper into the mixture. Form mixture into patties.

3) Working in batches, heat 1 tablespoon of E Excel Blended Cooking Oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties in hot oil until golden and set on the bottom, 4 to 5 minutes flip each burger and cook until golden and hot through out, about 4 minutes more.

Make room for mushroom and the power of mushroom. How can mushroom help in cancer, tumor and viral prevention?

Mushroom are deliciously good for your health! Mushroom can effectively enhance the immune system, defend against viruses and complement cancer treatments. What makes mushrooms such potent healers? The answer lies in their main active components - polysaccharides.

We are constantly expose to radiation from mobile phones, computers, viruses or cancer causing agents in our toiletries and household products. This will lead to cell mutation and turning good cells to cancerous cells.

The Polysaccharides increase the production of Natural Killer (NK) cells, interferon, interleukin to destroy existing cancer cells and viruses, increasing NK cells activities and ability to inhibit benign or non-malignant cells to becomes malignant ones.


Normal cells turn to cancerous cells. Polysaccharides will activate the Natural Killer cells to remove cancer cells.

How can mushroom help in cancer, tumor and viral prevention?

ABM Mushroom

The ABM Mushroom is rich in polysaccharides and can aid production of T cells, help to prevent reproduction, spread and relapse of cancer cells as well as virus-infected cells.

Research by the National Cancer Center Laboratory and Tokyo College of Pharmacy showed that there is a elimination of cancerous tumors in 90% of lab animals fed with ABM mushroom. While polysaccharides found in most fungi can only affect certain solid tumors, those in ABM mushrooms are reportedly effective against colon cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and most solid tumors.

Research at King Drew Medical Center of UCLA found that the ABM Mushroom increases the total number of immune cells throughout the body.

ABM Mushroom is powerful antiviral agent, preventing viruses and harmful agents from entering delicate tissue.

Maitake Mushroom




D-fraction of the maitake mushroom that has potent antitumor effects. One experiments prove the effectiveness of D-fraction in preventing normal cells from turning into malignant cancer cells. 

Through one experiment, carcinogen was placed in the food of experimental animals 3x over 7 day interval. Of the control group, 100% had tumors. Out of the group that has been fed maitake mushrooms, only 22.2% had tumors. Futhermore, only 9.7% of the group that was orally administered 1mg/kg of the D-fraction polysaccharide had tumors. The test suggests that maitake mushrooms, especially those containing the purified D-fraction, are effective in reducing cancer risks where carcinogenic foods are part of the regular diet.

Maitake mushroom is able to stimulate immune system to attack tumor cells directly. Studies show it to be most effective in inhibiting cancers of the breast, lung, liver and prostate.

In the US, researchers proved maitake mushroom's benefits for individuals with uterine fibroids. Maitake mushrooms were given to patients from 6 months to 1 year, they experience a substantial reduction of the uterine fibroids. The patients conditions improved to the extend that surgery was not neccesary.


Shiitake Mushroom


LEM and Lentinan in shiitake mushroom have the ability to stimulate an immune system that is weakened as a result of aging.  

LEM stimulates lymphocytes and macrophages, which are responsible for the immune system's defense against bacteria, viruses, tumor cells and toxins.

Lentinan in Shiitake Mushroom, kill tumor cells by stimulating the immune system to produce the body's own killer cells. They also activate helper T-cells and aid in the function of macrophages.

Today, Japanese doctors are using purified lentinan as an immunotherapy for lung, stomach, breast, colorectal, cervival and other cancers. The use of lentinan can help to suppress cancer recurrence and prolong the life span of cancer patients.

Ganoderma Mushroom (Reishi Mushroom)


Research has shown that reishi mushroom has anti-allergy, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant properties.

Reishi mushroom can prevent cancer recurrence by activating macrophages, natural killer cells and other immune cells, thereby boosting immune functions are preventing cancer. 

Reishi mushroom can be used to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy, increase patient survival rates, decrease the risk of metastasis, improve quality of life for patients and prevent cancer recurrence.

Triflora Vegecolor Jelly

I made Triflora Vegecolor Jelly for my kids during this hot weather and they love it very much.





Triflora Vegecolor is very simple to make and they are very refreshing. My kids enjoy the goodness of 28 types of fruits and vegetables in the diet and triflora is able to enhance the detoxification function.
